Vereyo Joins Google for Startups Cloud Program, Hosts LA Tech Week Event

Vereyo graphic titled “From plan set to priced estimate” showing two floor plans with drywall and plumbing takeoffs highlighted, next to an estimate priced by trade: Drywall $32,631, Plumbing $41,140, Foundation $126,588, Framing $169,884, Roofing $25,740

Vereyo turns a plan set into a priced estimate: drywall and plumbing takeoffs from a floor plan, with the estimate broken out by trade.

Los Angeles-based AI construction estimating platform has signed up 100 builders in its first 45 days as it helps contractors bid faster and win more work.

LOS ANGELES, CA, UNITED STATES, October 12, 2026 /EINPresswire.com/ -- Vereyo, an AI-powered construction estimating platform for building contractors, announced today that it has been formally accepted into the Google for Startups Cloud Program. The company will host a private event celebrating this milestone during LA Tech Week on October 16, 2026 at a Beverly Hills home built with Vereyo technology, where its founders will demo the platform for contractors, builders and investors.

Vereyo reads PDF plan sets that contractors receive for bidding and automatically creates a priced preliminary estimate across more than 20 trades with extraordinary accuracy. Pricing comes from a proprietary database of real Southern California subcontractor bids, not generic national cost averages. Work that used to take an estimator days now takes hours, and the numbers are grounded in what subcontractors actually charge.

It’s not only the tech that sets Vereyo apart from its competitors. Vereyo was made for general contractors, by a general contractor.

"I knew something needed to change. I was spending hours doing my own takeoffs and estimates and that was keeping me from being on site working on my builds. When I tried to use the generic AI tools all they could do was guess, and in construction a guess costs you the job or your margin. I created Vereyo to solve a problem that all general contractors face," said Matt Russell, co-founder of Vereyo and a Los Angeles general contractor with over 25 years in the business. "We built Vereyo on real subcontractor pricing from the jobs we actually bid. At LA Tech Week we want to show other builders what that looks like on their own plans."

Vereyo uses AI to automate the takeoff, pricing and bid comparison, but nothing happens in a black box. Contractors see every measurement, line item and price in real time, and can adjust any of it before the estimate goes to a client. The result: faster, more accurate bids that help contractors win business sooner.

The platform goes beyond the first number. With Vereyo’s Bid Center, contractors can send trade packages to subcontractors directly from their Vereyo estimate. When bids come back, Bid Check compares each one against the takeoff and Vereyo's pricing, flagging missing scope and outlier prices so contractors can verify accuracy and award with confidence.

The Google for Startups Cloud Program is providing Vereyo with Google Cloud credits, technical resources and support to build with Google's AI models. For Vereyo, that support goes to the hardest part of the job: reading plans. A single plan set can run to hundreds of sheets, and every one has to be measured trade by trade before a price goes on it. Vereyo will use the Google program to scale its plan-reading pipeline, so it can process more plan sets at once and keep turnaround fast as more contractors come on board.

"Contractors spend nights and weekends estimating jobs," said Nicholas Jarecki, co-founder of Vereyo and chief software architect. "Vereyo automates the heavy lifting while letting them see every number as it's built. Onboarding 100 builders in 45 days tells us the demand is here. Joining the Google for Startups Cloud Program gives us the resources to build quickly and take Vereyo beyond Los Angeles."

Vereyo is currently onboarding Southern California general contractors and remodelers. Contractors attending LA Tech Week can book a demo by emailing oona@vereyo.com.
