Mathew Griffin of Griffin Living Discusses the New Paradigm for Hospitality in Senior Living

Mathew Griffin

KISSIMMEE, FLORIDA, USA, June 27, 2019 / — Mathew Griffin, SVP at Griffin Living, a developer and operator of senior living communities, engaged in a round table discussion on the hospitality industry's surging influence on senior living design and operation. The event was part of day one of the 2019 Urban Land Institute Florida Summit.

Entitled, "Designing Senior Living for a New Hospitality, Health Care Paradigm," the panel discussed how senior living developers and operators were currently taking cues from the hospitality industry and what opportunities lie ahead.

What senior living developers and operators know is that 11,000 people are turning 65 every day for the next 10+ years and these seniors have high expectations for their housing. Designing and operating communities that meet those expectations is mandatory for senior living developers and operators to stay competitive.

Mathew Griffin was an ideal candidate to join the panel as he has overseen the development of one of the most exciting new senior living communities in the Southeast, the Sheridan at Eastside in Snellville, Georgia, just north of Atlanta. The project, which is a joint venture with Senior Lifestyle, opens in the fall of 2019 and epitomizes the merging of the hospitality sector with senior living. It has 32 independent living cottages, 90 independent living suites, 60 assisted living units, and 32 memory care units, all served by a dedicated staff focused on resident satisfaction.

Mathew Griffin was joined on the panel by Michael Hass of Drive Development Partners, Robert J. Kanjian of Building Solutions, LLC, and Michael Rodebaugh of Leo A Daly.

Stuart Burchill Warns Consumers of Toxic Insulation

Stuart Burchill

Nanotechnology expert, Stuart Burchill, offers a safer choice for manufacturers.

NAPLES, FLORIDA, USA, June 27, 2019 / — When it’s time to improve energy efficiency and safety in a facility, manufacturers turn to installing new insulation. Most people however, do not realize that some products available on the market can be toxic or flammable. This in turn causes unintended issues and liabilities down the road. Nanotechnology expert, Stuart Burchill, urges all buyers to thoroughly research products and ingredients to avoid installing dangerous insulation.

When homes and businesses were being built before the 1980’s, asbestos was a common ingredient used in insulation, floor tiles, siding, roof shingles, and more. As asbestos insulation found its way into more and more buildings, people started to see a rise in health issues. It was later found to be extremely toxic and cause cancer before being banned by the U.S. EPA in 1973 and 1989.

Stuart Burchill explains that insulation can not only cause trouble when filled with toxic ingredients, but also when it is made of flammable materials. Certain spray foam insulation products are extremely flammable, meaning accidental fires can be spread more quickly. Stuart Burchill has seen this first hand through a client who had previously been using spray on foam insulation around the perimeter and ceiling of his large metal storage facility. When a fire started in one unit and reached the highly flammable foam insulation, it spread throughout the rest of the facility at an alarming pace. Stuart Burchill and his team helped him by providing a water-based, eco-friendly insulation coating that is both non-toxic and non-flammable.

A Safer Choice

Stuart Burchill’s patented nanotechnology spray on insulation coatings are engineered to be environmentally friendly and safe. Solvent-based formulations are not used whatsoever, meaning companies can be more sustainable. Coatings are non-flammable, non-toxic, low odor, low VOC, water-based, mold and mildew resistant, and safe for use in food manufacturing facilities.

Switching to Stuart Burchill’s spray on insulation will significantly reduce energy costs while providing a protective barrier around scolding hot manufacturing equipment of any size or shape. It withstands harsh outdoor environments and chemical splashes, the perfect product for manufacturers around the world.

About Stuart Burchill

CEO/CTO of Industrial Nanotech Inc., Stuart Burchill is an expert in sustainability, nanoscience solutions, and manufacturing. His patented Heat Shield EPX-H20 spray on thermal insulation helps those in the manufacturing industry meet safety, preventative maintenance, and sustainability goals by providing corrosion resistance, CUI prevention, moisture resistance, and chemical resistance as well as by reducing equipment surface temperatures. California Mesothelioma Victims Center Urges a Person Anywhere in California with Mesothelioma to Call Them for Direct Access to Attorney Erik Karst of Karst von Oiste To Explain the Compensation Process

Call us anytime at 800-714-0303 for direct access to attorney Erik Karst of the law firm of karst von Oiste to explain how the financial compensation process works.”

— California Mesothelioma Victims Center

LOS ANGELES , CALIFORNIA, USA, June 27, 2019 / — The California Mesothelioma Victims Center says, "We are urging a person anywhere in California who has just been diagnosed with mesothelioma or their immediate family to call us anytime at 800-714-0303 for direct access to attorney Erik Karst of the law firm of karst von Oiste to explain how the financial compensation process works. At the same time-we would like to prepare the person with mesothelioma or their family members for the types of questions the lawyers will need. Answering these questions is vital because they become the basis for a mesothelioma compensation claim. https://California.MesotheliomaVictimsCenter.Com

The questions the California Mesothelioma Victims Center suggests include-the following:

*"Do you recall the specifics of how you were exposed to asbestos, especially if the exposure to asbestos occurred at a workplace or as an example while serving in the US Navy? What makes this difficult for a person with mesothelioma is the exposure to asbestos may have taken place thirty, forty or fifty years ago.

*"Does the person have a family member, a coworker a shipmate that witnessed their exposure to asbestos?

*"Frequently a person with mesothelioma will know exactly how they were exposed to asbestos because they were a plumber, insulator, a brake mechanic, an electrician or machinist and they worked with products or equipment that contained asbestos. In a state like California a person like this could receive a million dollar plus mesothelioma compensation settlement.

*"Before a person with mesothelioma or their family retains the services of a law firm to assist with compensation please call us at the California Mesothelioma Victims Center at 800-714-0303 so we can provide you with direct access to attorney Erik Karst of the law firm of Karst von Oiste. Erik Karst has been assisting people with mesothelioma for a generation and he delivers superior mesothelioma compensation results for his clients."

For the best possible mesothelioma treatment options in California the California Mesothelioma Victims Center strongly recommends the following heath care facilities with the offer to help a diagnosed victim, or their family get to the right physicians at one of these three hospitals:

* UCLA Medical Center Los Angeles, California: https://cancer.

* Stanford Cancer Institute:

* University of California San Francisco, San Francisco, California: https://mountzion.

The California Mesothelioma Victims Center also wants to emphasize theirs is a statewide unsurpassed service that is available to any diagnosed victim in California including communities such as Los Angeles, San Diego, San Francisco, San Jose, Riverside, Fresno, Sacramento, Oceanside, Palm Springs, Riverside, Redding, or Eureka. https://California.MesotheliomaVictimsCenter.Com

High-risk work groups for exposure to asbestos In California include US Navy Veterans, power plant workers, shipyard workers at Hunters Point, Long Beach, or San Diego, oil refinery workers in Long Beach or Martinez, chemical plant workers, manufacturing workers, plumbers, electricians, auto mechanics, machinists, or construction workers. Typically, the exposure to asbestos occurred in the 1950's, 1960's, 1970's, or 1980's.

According to the CDC the states indicated with the highest incidence of mesothelioma include Maine, Massachusetts, Connecticut, Maryland, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Ohio, West Virginia, Virginia, Michigan, Illinois, Minnesota, Louisiana, Washington, and Oregon. However, mesothelioma and asbestos exposure lung cancer happen to over a thousand people each year in California.

Which Home Exterior Colors Attract Buyers? The Experts at the Estridge Group Real Estate Agency Weigh In

Estridge Group

Estridge Group

Top real estate experts in Washington, DC, The Estridge Group, offer their advice for painting your home exterior to attract potential buyers.

WASHINGTON, DC, UNITED STATES, June 26, 2019 / — DC-area residents who are considering selling their homes in the coming months come to the Estridge Group, a top local real-estate agency, for advice on everything from asking price to curb appeal. Believe it or not, according to the experts, the color of your home can affect the time it spends on the market as well as the price you will ultimately get for it. After all, the color of your home makes a crucial first impression. The Estridge Group recommends homeowners consider the following colors for their home exteriors.

According to national surveys, roughly 40% of all American homeowners choose white for their home exteriors. There are many reasons for this. Not only is white viewed as a “clean” color – and that’s why it is so common in hospitals and doctor’s offices – but it also makes the home appear larger than it actually is. It can also help to offset any bright pops of color in the trim or the landscaping, which creates focal points that can make a home more attractive.
If white is a little too pristine, the Estridge Group also recommends beige as a great alternative. Though it can have a brown or yellow tint, it is considered neutral and clean. It blends in well on almost any property, but it is better suited for homes that are tucked into homes surrounded by wooded areas or heavily landscaped. Accents like navy blue, hunter green, black, and even white make exciting accents for beige.

White and beige take center stage because their neutrality makes it easy for potential buyers to decide how the home would look if they painted it according to their own personal style. For this reason, real estate experts recommend against painting homes’ exteriors or interiors bold colors; this can make your home feel as if it is too personal for potential buyers and put them off making an offer.

Of course, aside from the exterior walls and trim, another important consideration is the color of your home’s front door. If you’ve chosen to paint your home a neutral beige or brown, then a bold eye-catching color like red or even burgundy would be a great choice. On the other hand, if your home’s exterior is stark white, you might want to choose a more toned-down version of the color. For stone or brick, choose a door color that is found within it.

Robert Thomson reflects on his journey into luxury real estate

Robert Thomson

Waterfront Properties' Robert Thomson looks back on more than 30 years in the South Florida luxury real estate market.

JUPITER, FLORIDA, USA, June 26, 2019 / — Waterfront Properties and Club Communities owner, property mogul, and a veteran of the South Florida luxury real estate market, Robert Thomson reflects on his 30-year career and talks family, indoctrination, induction into Luxury Real Estate's Billionaires Club, brokering yachts, and more.

Robert 'Rob' Thomson was indoctrinated into the world of luxury real estate at a young age. "I was an unwitting student in the Joan Thomson School of Real Estate," he jokes.

In fact, it's true that Robert Thomson picked up a number of his best techniques from his highly successful real estate professional mother as a child. Many of these techniques he still uses today, more than three decades later.

In the late 1980s, Thomson's mother, Joan, changed the name of her existing real estate business to Waterfront Properties, deciding to truly specialize, as the name suggests, in Palm Beach County's exclusive waterfront properties. Now known as both Waterfront Properties, and Waterfront Properties and Club Communities, it's the same thriving company which, and since 2010, Robert Thomson now runs.

"You don't realize how much you're getting indoctrinated by how much is being absorbed into your brain when you listen to it your whole life," reveals Thomson, "until you start doing it and you already know a lot of the answers."

Self-declared matriarch Joan Thomson remains at Waterfront Properties, today single-handedly accounting for more waterfront real estate transactions than any other brokerage in the local area, from Boca Raton to Jupiter and Stuart, and priced from $250,000 to more than $50 million apiece. An integral part of Waterfront's training team, Joan is an expert in schooling new agents in what—from first contact to signed contracts—she and Robert call 'the Waterfront way.'

"My mom is awesome," says Rob. "She's an incredible partner and continues to be a mentor, and, while she'll never admit it, she's a true real estate visionary," he adds.

Early recruitment into the Joan Thomson School of Real Estate, it seems, has paid dividends for Thomson, who, in 2012, became the youngest agent ever to be inducted into Luxury Real Estate's Billionaires Club. "Quite a testament," he remarks, "to my mom's mentoring!"

Today, under Robert Thomson, who places great importance on cutting-edge technology and a unique approach to online marketing, Waterfront Properties and Club Communities boasts more than 100 agents and brokers, regularly buying and selling homes worth tens of millions of dollars.

What's more, the highly successful businessman is also the name behind Waterfront Yacht Brokerage, giving Waterfront Properties and Club Communities' clients the option to further buy and sell ultra-luxurious watercraft alongside, or in addition to, their similarly luxurious homes and other properties.

"It just makes sense," suggests Thomson of the sister venture, established alongside his boat captain, Joe Kelly, in 2015, "and is one of the main reasons why Waterfront Yacht Brokerage has been so successful."

"Now," he adds, wrapping up, "clients can sell or buy their home and boat through experts in both arenas, all of whom are on the same team."

Robert Thomson is a luxury real estate professional based in Jupiter, Florida. Robert 'Rob' Thomson is a managing partner and owner of Waterfront Properties and Club Communities and is co-owner of the Jupiter-based restaurant Shipwreck Bar and Grille. A keen philanthropist, Thomson is a regular volunteer with organizations such as the American Cancer Society and Big Dog Ranch Rescue, as well as Waterfront Properties' own charitable organization, the Waterfront Way Foundation.

Consolidation is Changing the Pump Rental Industry

Pump Rental Market North America

North American Pump Rental Market

Anthony Miller, Managing Partner of Verify Markets

Verify Markets B2B Market Research and Consulting

Large national rental companies are growing inorganically and diversifying their offering to be a one-stop solution for clients across several industries.

Currently, around 20 percent of the pump rental equipment is used by the construction sector. The demand for pump rental equipment is directly affected by the level of economic activity.”

— Anthony Miller, Managing Partner

TEXAS, UNITED STATES, June 26, 2019 / — A new analysis by Verify Markets shows the North American Pump Rental Market was valued at $2,380.0 million in 2018 and is expected to growth at a compound annual growth rate (CAGR) of 7.6% from 2018 to 2025. While still a highly fragmented market, the pump rental market in North America has been going through a process of consolidation during the last decade, where large national rental companies are acquiring regional competitors. The mergers and acquisitions have helped main players to grow inorganically and diversify their product offerings as well as provide a one-stop solution for clients across numerous industries.

Some examples of consolidations that took place during the last two years include United Rentals’ acquisition of BarkerCorp and Thomson Pumps, and Sunbelt Rentals acquisition of Maverick Pump Services and APEX Pump and Equipment. Although the proportion of the market enjoyed by the larger players continues to increase, the top three companies still only account for over 40 percent of the estimated $2.4 billion pump rental market.

Another important trend in the market is the increasing demand from the municipality and construction segments including dewatering projects, sewer bypass, and water/wastewater treatment construction and expansion due to urbanization, population growth, and rise in manufacturing activities. In 2015, about 81.7 percent of the total population in the United States lived in cities and urban areas. Projections estimate that the corresponding figure in 2025 will be 83.7 percent. The increasing pace of urbanization will lead to integration of core city centers with suburbs and daughter cities. The resulting expansion of city limits is pushing the demand for residential and commercial construction activities, as well as expansion of water/wastewater infrastructure. Currently, around 20 percent of the pump rental equipment is used by the construction sector. The demand for pump rental equipment is directly affected by the level of economic activity in this industry.

Another stimulus for the market is the aging water and wastewater infrastructure. A considerable part of the drinking water and wastewater infrastructure in the U.S. is aging and overburdened. It is estimated that local governments spend $20 billion a year on capital sewer expenditures and $30 billion annually on O&M. Rental companies are benefiting from the increasing demand for maintenance and upgrade of the existing water infrastructure for rental pumps in sewer bypass and wastewater applications.

Despite the market potential, rental companies will be deterred by stringent environmental regulations (specifically EPA Tier 4 implementation in the United States and the carbon tax in Canada), volatility of oil & gas prices, and intense competition in the industry. Additional regulatory burdens to hydraulic fracking activities is also expected to disturb the market by adversely affect the pump rental pricing or the demand for pump rental services.

The North American Pump Rental Market report has been segmented by end user, suction size, and type. Main customers include construction, municipality, mining, oil & gas, industrial, and environmental remediation. The municipality and construction segments currently holds the vast majority of the pump rental market revenues.
Some of the key companies covered in this report include United Rentals, Inc., Xylem, Inc., Ashtead Group plc (Sunbelt Rentals), Rain for Rent, and Thompson Pump & Manufacturing Co., Inc., This report provides an in-depth analysis of the overall North American Pump Rental Market. The report captures various market dynamics such as growth drivers, restraints, market revenues and forecasts, market trends, and the competitive landscape.

Introducing VOLTA, a Levitating Light from Floately that Illuminates More than just Your Home

Combining science and modern technology, this classic light bulb has the power to levitate as a result of electromagnetic forces between the base and the bulb

– Levitates silently all day & night

A perfect companion for your nightstand

Combining science and modern technology, this classic light bulb has the power to levitate as a result of electromagnetic forces between the base and the bulb.

Volta, the innovative levitating light from the levitation scientists at Floately, is a chic and minimalist levitating bulb that fits any décor style”

— Floately

LOS ANGELES, CA, USA, June 26, 2019 / — For the first time, the power of levitation has been made affordable for every home and office. Volta, the innovative levitating light from the levitation scientists at Floately, is a chic and minimalist levitating bulb that fits any décor style. Whether in the classroom, the boardroom, or the living room, Volta illuminates much more than the space it occupies; it’s iconic bulb sparks ideas and represents the future of innovation.

Volta was launched by Floately in March, but it has already sold thousands of units, and production capacity is expanding so units are back in stock. Floately attributes the success of Volta to its durability, style, and attractive pricing. Volta is currently available at and costs 70% less than competing levitating lights on the market.

Volta is battery-free, durable, and safe for use at all ages. There are no gimmicks here—this is real levitation technology. There are no wires, strings, or supports of any kind connecting the Volta bulb to its base.

It works by generating its own magnetic field with precisely balanced polarities. There are four electromagnets in the Volta base and one magnet in the bulb. The magnetic field created by the electromagnets resists the magnet in the bulb, holding it firmly in mid-air. Using advanced hall sensors and precise measurements, the scientists at Floately achieved a perfectly still levitation that does not tilt or wobble. Users are even able to touch the bulb without interrupting its tranquil float.

The electromagnets in Volta’s base are guaranteed to last forever. They require no batteries and no assembly. Volta functions when plugged into a normal power source, and its soft glow occurs thanks to advanced induction technology that transmits electricity wirelessly through Volta’s electromagnetic field.

Volta emits a soft, calming light conducive to relaxation and peaceful productivity. Its mahogany wooden base was made to complement any room or design style, and it can be easily moved from place to place.

Volta’s bulb is not a standard incandescent lightbulb. It is ultra durable and reinforced to prevent breakage, and its contact wires are 10x stronger than those of an average bulb. In fact, Volta was designed to last up to 50x longer than the average bulb). By giving it a slight push, the Volta bulb can even spin as it floats in perfect symmetry, increasing its appeal as a calming and captivating accessory.

Volta was not designed to be a toy or a parlor trick. It is the first levitating bulb that provides real lighting solutions at an affordable price.

Volta is named after the Italian physicist, Alessandro Volta, a pioneer of electricity and power, and credited as the inventor of the electric battery.

About Floately

Floately is scientific endeavor committed to advancing levitation technology in the home. They currently produce four products: a floating light (Volta), a floating bonsai plant, a floating illuminated moon, and a floating UFO Bluetooth speaker.

Floately was founded by a group of scientists who had previously studied levitation technology for use in transportation and other private, large-scale projects. They realized that electromagnetism and wireless electricity could have huge advantages in the home, but very few products were allowing people to take advantage of this emerging technology. They also realized that many products were highly overpriced and were being sold as novelty items, not as practical, durable, and lifelong investments for the home.

Thus, Floately was born of a desire to introduce the average household to the benefits of levitating products in everyday life. Their flagship product, Volta, has proven to be an astounding success, and more levitating accessories are slated to be released in the future.

Volta ships worldwide (while supplies last) and is available in four plug types: US, EU, UK, and AU. To see a demonstration of how Volta works or to place an order, visit today.
