“Proper Waste Diversion and Recycling Starts at the SOURCE – IN THE HOME.The Kwik Bagit Eco/System with the reusable poly/ cloth bags will help to save our Environment for a Greener Planet".”

— Harold Sokyrka

SASKATOON, SASKATCHEWAN, CANADA, November 1, 2018 /EINPresswire.com/ — President and Inventor Harold Sokyrka (President of Kwik Bagit Products International Inc.) launches the Kwik Bagit Eco/System on popular Crowd Funding Platform www.indiegogo.com/kwikbagit.

After 2 years of R&D, this Patent Pending Utility Device is ready for the worldwide marketplace. The easy to use System encourages the use of machine washable Poly/Cloth Bags to reduce the amount of plastic bags entering municipal landfills and recycling depots. The reusable bags will save consumers from buying plastic bags that take over 100 years to decompose and it will also save the environment by reducing the amount of unnecessary single-use, oil-based plastic bags that are entering our landfills.

The “Kwik-Bag-It-Eco-System” is an Eco-Friendly Portable Utility Device that uses Telescopic Rails and Legs that can be reconfigured to fit any debris collecting bags in the marketplace. Primarily used for the collection of compostable organic waste and debris and for the storage of refundable recyclables.

The System also uses exclusive Retainer Clips that hold the bags to the rails of the unit which makes it so easy to fill and unload the bags. Sokyrka says "You no longer need a third arm or second person to hold the bag open while it is being filled. And once the bag is full – you simply release the clips and the bag falls to the ground and the full bag can then be unloaded into the compost or recycling depot. If it requires a cleaning, a simple spray with water will permit the bag to be used hundreds of times.

Another feature of the Kwik Bagit Eco/System is the portable roll-up tabletop, making it an excellent device to take camping, fishing or to a picnic or the beach where the unit not only collects your debris but it can be used to dry your towels and have a place to set your drinks on as well. This Unit is called the "Outback" and it can easily be strapped to a backpack or put into your camper or RV.

There is also a Commercial Pro Model that is used in the construction industry and is excellent for disaster relief clean up saving companies hundreds of dollars spent on single-use plastic bags. The bag on this unit can hold up to 50 lbs of debris, that has canvas straps and can be used dozens of times. Food Truck operators and Street Vending Carts will see a great benefit because the unit not only acts as a portable debris/recycling collector, but it also has a unique new advertising medium, to display their company logo or events. Tailgaters will love it because they can customize the bag with their favorite team logo. Community and School sports teams, choirs and bands will find this to be an excellent fundraising unit, as it will help to raise money for their organization and advertise their team logo at the same time.

The new sign medium will be another advantage to the homeowner as well as real estate companies because the unit can be secured to the ground to advertise signage for garage sales, house sale or rental suites, and for open house events.

During the launch of the Crowdfunding Campaign on IndieGoGo, the Kwik Bagit Eco/System will range in price from $19 US to $54 US, with volume discounts for multiple orders. Every pledge will receive a Complimentary Leak Proof Compost Bag that has a Zipper Seal that keeps odors in while compost from the kitchen is collected. This simple household bag will help to divert valuable compost material to the residence compost bin or from sending it to the landfill.

As municipalities all over the world struggle with trying to improve Waste Diversion, Compositing and Recycling Practices they are now burdened even more due to China's tough policy of now refusing any more recyclable material from offshore. As a result, Recycling Depots are scrambling to find alternative buyers and measures to deal with the stockpiling of recyclable materials, consequently now much of which is now ending up in the landfills because they have no place to sell it.

Sokyrka states that “Proper recycling starts AT THE SOURCE – in the HOME and by using cloth bags we will reduce the amount of unneeded and unwanted oil-based, oxo-degradable plastic bags from entering the municipal landfills.” He goes on to say, "Our USE ONCE – and DISCARD ATTITUDE needs to change". Sokyrka has also developed a Community Based Seminar called "DIVERT-RECYCLE and REUSE which is a 2-day seminar designed to educate the public about proper waste diversion techniques. This seminar can be purchased on the Indiegogo Crowd Funding Campaign as well.

He also goes on to say: "As more and more municipalities begin to realize that OIL BASED, OXO-DEGRADABLE PLASTICS BAGS are bad for our environment there will be more emphasis on discouraging residences and businesses from using plastic bags. Aside from having an outright ban on the use of plastic bags – the simple solution is to switch to using PolyCloth Bags that can be washed and used hundreds of times. This could be the beginning of a new approach to smarter waste diversion, and improved composting and recycling practices so that we can to strive for a “GREENER PLANET” and to help our Fragile Environment"!

For real estate law, incorporating technology can make the practice more efficient and increase client satisfaction. In fact, technology may enable the practitioner to exceed client expectations.”

— Sarah E. Cox, attorney in Florida

FORT MYERS, FLORIDA, UNITED STATES, October 31, 2018 /EINPresswire.com/ — In this first article in a series, Sarah Cox, Esq. focuses on Real Estate Practice Management with the help of software and other technologies. The complete articles will be published on the blog of Sarah Cox at https://SarahECoxBlog.blogspot.com

Technology is advancing, and the legal profession must keep up with these technological and societal changes. Many of us still remember when they first saw a personal computer, when cell phones became widely available, and when cell phones turned into smart phones that have become indispensable for many.

For a real estate law practice, incorporating technology can make the practice more efficient and increase client satisfaction. In fact, technology may enable the practitioner to exceed client expectations. Here are a few, simple-to-implement options.

Case Management Software

For real estate attorneys, long gone are the days of paper routing slips, desktop inboxes and consecutive reviews by paralegals and attorneys during which papers and files are shuffled back and forth. With case management software, incoming documents are reviewed in a pre-determined sequence or as authorized, and files or documents are updated the same way. The staff has real-time access to documents and status reports. Important dates are automatically entered into a calendar. Case Management Software also enables legal teams to focus on a pre-set process, thus saving time and energy, and greatly reducing the stress in this deadline-driven profession. Case Management Software can also greatly reduce costs for the law practice and the clients by standardizing and accelerating document creation and maintenance.

There are many different kinds of Case Management Software, some general ones such as:

https://www.capterra.com
https://www.clio.com
https://www.mycase.com
https://www.trialworks.com
https://www.cosmolex.com

However, a real estate law practice may require more specific software, such as:

Real Estate Closing Software: https://www.leap.us/areas-of-law/real-estate-closing-software/ or https://www.abacusnext.com/solutions/legal/real-estate-law-software

Practice Management Software for Real Estate Attorneys: https://www.smokeball.com/practice-areas/real-estate-law-software/

These are just a few examples, and should not be considered endorsements of any of these products. Each law practice should make sure to test them carefully before buying, and take advantage of the free test versions or consultations that many software providers offer as part of their sales process. Find the right software to fit your own needs and your client’s expectations

Research and Mobile Technology

Subscription research services such as LEXIS and Westlaw have been available to attorneys online for decades, gradually rendering hard copy law libraries obsolete. The internet has done for law what it has for every other area of modern life, providing instant access to information.

To be continued. – The complete article will be published on the blog of Sarah Cox at https://SarahECoxBlog.blogspot.com

*NOTE: The inclusion of a technology or app in this article does not mean an endorsement or approval. The listed technologies are just for illustrative purposes. None of these particular technologies are endorsed or recommended by this author.

VIZpin Launches Certified Installer Program to Support National Accounts

The Certified Installer Program was developed in response to the steady growth of national Quick Service Restaurants (QSR) & Retail clients VIZpin has acquired.

The new Certified Installer Program will let those companies make money from the electric lock installation, while becoming comfortable with VIZpin.”

— Wendi Grinnell, Vice President

LANCASTER, PA, USA, October 31, 2018 /EINPresswire.com/ — VIZpin, designer and manufacturer of the VIZpin smartphone-based, Bluetooth enabled access entry system, has announced the launch of the company’s new VIZpin Certified Installer Program. The Certified Installer Program was developed in response to the steady growth of national Quick Service Restaurants (QSR) and Retail clients the company has acquired since being established in 2016.

VIZpin systems are typically installed by VIZpin Certified Partners. However, due to unanticipated demand for the simple, affordable Smartphone Access Control solution, the company has a growing number of national QSR and Retail clients with locations in areas where Certified Partners have not yet been established.

The VIZpin Certified Installer Program will provide locksmiths and low voltage contractors with the knowledge they need to install VIZpin systems without having full partner certification. In addition to maintaining necessary licenses and insurances to install electric locks and low voltage systems, VIZpin Certified Installers will be required to complete online training and to pass a test annually, at minimum.

Certified Installers’ primary responsibility will be to ensure that 12VDC electric locks are installed, operating correctly and in compliance with local codes. Then, they must simply connect VIZpin controllers to the electric locks. The VIZpin controllers will ship pre-configured from the factory, so the installation will require only four wires and two screws.

“We’ve had many companies that are interested but uncertain about becoming a Certified Partner,” comments VIZpin Vice President Wendi Grinnell. “The new Certified Installer Program will let those companies make money from the electric lock installation, while becoming comfortable with VIZpin. If they later decide they want to also make money selling the VIZpin controllers and service, we will make it easy for them to upgrade to Certified Partner status.”

Purple Heart Homes, Think Broader, and Wheelhouse Media Launch Virtual Reality Experience to Create Empathy Experience

Virtual Reality Goggles to launch at Elder Gallery as part of the Vicarious multi-disciplinary exhibition, to enable empathy for disabled veterans

People who view the Virtual Reality Programs will experience an entirely new way of seeing what these disabled veterans face … and as a result, gain a deeper empathy for what they go through…”

— John Gallina, Executive Director & Co-fouder of Purple Heart Homes

STATESVILLE, NC, UNITED STATES, October 31, 2018 /EINPresswire.com/ — Purple Heart Homes (www.phhusa.org) is pleased to announce the launch of its series of Virtual Reality Experiences, inviting dialog around issues related to veterans and the veteran experience and using art as the vehicle for reflection and discussion. On November 1, 2018, Purple Heart Homes will introduce its first Virtual Reality Program, which focuses on a Service Connected Disabled Veteran who lost both of his legs as a result of his deployment in Vietnam.

To create the Virtual Realty Experience, Purple Heart Homes worked with Think Broader Foundation and Wheelhouse Media Foundation. Think Broader Foundation is a 501(c)3 woman-led non-profit that promotes creative storytelling to promote empathy. Through a Cultural Vision grant from the Arts & Science Council, Think Broader Foundation partnered with Wheelhouse Media Foundation, which supports non-profit entities who do not have the financial or human resources to adequately market themselves in an increasingly content-driven media world. Also a 501(c)3, the Wheelhouse Media Foundation provides digital content creation to other charitable organizations, allowing them to more fully share their stories, elevate awareness of their efforts, and more successfully achieve strategic objectives. Think Broader and Wheelhouse, together with Purple Heart Homes, will produce a series of “empathy experiences” using virtual reality film production. The first experience, which will be shown at the Vicarious art exhibition being held on November 1 at the Elder Gallery in Charlotte, North Carolina, will allow users to immerse themselves in the life of a double amputee war veteran to better understand the challenges of living with disabilities and aging in place as well as “life hacks” for overcoming adversity.

The Vicarious art exhibition is a multi-disciplinary exhibition that will also feature paintings, drawings, glass work, objects and sculpture, and a documentary. Many of these works were created by veterans, as well as by other artists from around the country. The Virtual Reality Project was produced by writer, academic, speaker, and Army veteran Paula Kranz Broadwell. The entire exhibition will invite conversation around the power of art to reach into the psyche in a unique and powerful way.

More than 4 million Service Connected Disabled Veterans live in the United States today (U.S. Census Bureau, https://www.census.gov/newsroom/facts-for-features/2017/veterans-day.html), and over 50 percent of veterans 65 years of age and older live in homes built in the 1950’s and 1960’s that often are no longer suited to meet their needs because of their ages and disabilities. John Gallina, CEO and Co-founder of Purple Heart Homes, is excited about the potential for this Virtual Reality Experience to help civilians understand what disabled veterans experience on a daily basis, and is grateful for the partnership with Think Broader and Wheelhouse Foundations. “Part of our mission at Purple Heart Homes is to provide housing solutions designed out of necessity that fit the specific needs of veterans of all ages and from all eras. People who view the Virtual Reality Programs will experience an entirely new way of seeing what these disabled veterans face, the housing challenges that exist for many of them, and as a result, gain a deeper empathy and level of compassion for what they go through on a daily basis."

Please join Purple Heart Homes and its partners in thinking about the value that a safe and
accessible home brings to our veterans, who have sacrificed so much for each of us. Please
consider donating to Purple Heart Homes, volunteering for a project, or starting a Chapter in your community. There are so many more of these veterans who need our help. Visit www.phhusa.org to learn more about how you can help Purple Heart Homes in its mission to provide housing solutions for Service Connected Disabled and Aging Veterans.

About Purple Heart Homes

What’s in Your Air? Lead Exposure Testing with the Aero Select

Worker in a factory

ANCON Team in Canterbury

Lead is a cumulative toxicant that affects multiple body systems and is known to cause severe health problems

Lead is a cumulative toxicant that affects multiple body systems and is particularly harmful to young children.”

— Dr Robert Muir – ANCON Technologies

CANTERBURY, KENT, UK, October 31, 2018 /EINPresswire.com/ — Lead is a cumulative toxicant that affects multiple body systems and is known to cause severe health problems, especially to children, and its enduring use in industries such as manufacturing, recycling and even cosmetics continues to be reported each day. Aiming to raise awareness of the public health dangers of lead exposure and reawaken the call to eliminate the use of lead in manufacturing and consumer products, the WHO recently conducted a campaign of International Lead Poisoning Prevention [http://www.who.int/ipcs/lead_campaign/objectives/en/; addressing the estimated 540,000 deaths and 13.9 million years lost to disability and death due to long-term health effects of lead exposure.

It is with this public health objective in mind that instruments such as ANCON’s Aero Select http://www.ancontechnologies.com/products/aero-select-portable-wide-range-aerosol-sampler/ become vital to researchers in detecting and preventing exposure of this unassuming metal. By identifying previously unknown nanoparticles in order to adapt and improve occupational health measures, the portable, wide range aerosol sampler created by this innovative company has already been successfully used in lead exposure studies, not only providing long-term health benefits to workers but also saving livelihoods through identification of best practice for financial outlay within the companies at risk of the dramatic effects of this dangerous metal.

Lead is a cumulative toxicant that affects multiple body systems and is particularly harmful to young children. Distributed throughout the body, lead is stored in the teeth and bones, and during pregnancy, it is released from bones into the bloodstream and becomes a source of exposure to the developing foetus. There is no known level of lead exposure that is considered safe. However, lead exposure is detectable and therefore preventable.

Some sources of environmental contamination include mining, smelting, manufacturing and recycling activities, and, in some countries, the continued use of leaded paint, gasoline and aviation fuel. More than three-quarters of global lead consumption is for the manufacture of lead-acid batteries for motor vehicles. Lead is, however, also used in many other products, such as jewellery, toys and in some cosmetics and traditional medicines. Even drinking water may contain lead when delivered through lead pipes.

Lead particles range in size and can be deposited and expelled through the respiratory system (mucociliary escalator) but also absorbed straight into the bloodstream. The latter fraction of airborne particles cause the adverse health effects associated with exposure and this is precisely where ANCON’s Aero Select is designed to aid the investigation. The unit’s size-resolved sampling technique was employed to characterize nanoparticles at workplaces at several plants involved in lead processing with results published in the Aerosol and Air Quality Research (AAQR) journal [http://www.aaqr.org/doi/10.4209/aaqr.2013.02.0039].

Aerosol size distributions of lead were obtained across the entire aerosol particle size range from 1 nm to 30 μm. Size distributions were used to calculate the total lead intake due to particle deposition in the respiratory system of workers and it was found that nanoparticles cause the major health risk due to high deposition efficiency and low clearance rate by the upper respiratory system.

Lead exposure can have serious consequences for the health of children. At high levels, lead attacks the brain and central nervous system to cause coma, convulsions and even death. Children who survive severe lead poisoning may be left with mental retardation and behavioural disorders. The neurological and behavioural effects of lead are believed to be irreversible.

Encouragingly, the successful phasing out of leaded gasoline in most countries, together with other lead control measures, has resulted in a significant decline in population-level blood lead concentrations. There are now only 3 countries that continue to use leaded fuel. However, as of 30 September 2018, only 36% of countries have confirmed that they have legally binding controls on the production, import, sale and use of lead paints, showing the desperate need for greater awareness of the dangers of exposure.

How Often Do I Receive Workers’ Compensation Checks?

How frequently should I get a check for my workers’ comp case?

According to the Workers’ Compensation Act, insurance companies should pay you your workers’ compensation check consistently with your normal paycheck.”

— Craig Altman

PHILADELPHIA, PENNSYLVANIA, UNITED STATES, October 31, 2018 /EINPresswire.com/ — Once a workers’ compensation claim has been approved, you will start receiving workers’ compensation benefits. As a law firm with experienced lawyers in the field, we are here to offer legal advice and answer as many questions people have about earning workers’ compensation disability benefits.

How frequently should I get a check for my workers’ comp case?

According to the Workers’ Compensation Act, insurance companies should pay you your workers’ compensation check consistently with your normal paycheck. Depending on how frequently you get paid will depend on how frequently you receive your workers’ compensation check. Although some state laws require the premium of wage-loss benefits within a certain amount of time, payments submitted late is still a common occurrence. If you are collecting a partial workers’ comp check while working, be sure to store away your pay stubs during the period you are being compensated for your injury. Until your insurance company receives your wage information, there will be a delay, so regardless of the delivery method, keep your pay stubs handy.

If my check doesn’t come on time, what do I do?

Are you noticing that your insurance company is dragging their feet? If the answer is yes, the best thing to do would be to contact your comp attorney. If your insurance company submits your payment late your workers’ compensation lawyer can file a penalty petition, which helps speed up the process with your workers’ compensation insurance company.

Do you find yourself continuously receiving payments late? Start to keep a record that includes the date and check number. If your checks get processed automatically through a direct deposit system, take a screenshot of the timestamp when viewing your online bank account. Speaking with your workers’ comp lawyer and deciding upon an action to take to receive your checks promptly is recommended.

How much money will my workers’ comp check be for?

Between your state laws and your yearly earnings, a number will be determined. For example, in Pennsylvania, the law says you are entitled to 66 2/3% of your paycheck. In simpler terms, this means you get two-thirds of your usual gross wage, pre-taxed. This number does not always apply, depending on your earnings.

The below numbers have been updated as of 1/1/17 and apply, correctly, to Pennsylvania laws.

Tier One: The 66 2/3% applies here. Therefore, if you earn between $746.26 and $1,492.50, before taxes, per week, you would be eligible for the two-thirds of your weekly pre-taxed pay scenario. Do note that your maximum benefits can max out at $995 per week in pre-taxed income.

Tier Two: If you earn between $746.25 and $552.78 in a pay period, pre-taxed, your check will come to $497.50 no matter where you fall within in the above earnings range.

Tier Three: Earning less than $552.77 pre-taxed, per week would make your compensation rate 90% of your weekly income, pre-taxed.

This information was sourced from the Pennsylvania Department of Labor Workers’ Compensation page. Visit your state’s page to see how these rules may apply to you! No matter what, your earnings will fall somewhere into the specified three tiers, but the numbers may change, slightly.

Vital Compensation tips for a diagnosed US Navy Veteran, a manufacturing or skilled trades worker with mesothelioma in Iowa from the New Hampshire Mesothelioma Victims Center:

#1."Do not fall for a less than truthful Internet ad about 'no lawsuit needed, billions recovered,' or federal claims center,' because most of these advertisements are less than honest.
